Call Center Outsourcing Provider IQuor Expanding by Creating 100 Additional Jobs

In order to fill customer service positions in its Charlotte office, a New York-based call center services company has plans to hire around 100 agents within the next two months. The company, IQor, provides call center outsourcing employees to companies in various industries. Outsourcing customer service positions enables companies to maintain a strong brand image while spending less, a recent article from the Charlotte Observer stated.

Company officials from iQor stated that entry-level wages will be up to $11 an hour, with bonuses given when a high level of performance is noticed in agents. In addition, health benefits will be available after the training period has ended.

"We've found Charlotte is a great place to recruit workers," iQor?(News - Alert) spokesman Robert Burke said. "They're smart and hard-working, and it's been a place where we've been allowed to grow."

Newly hired employees in the Charlotte office will work mainly as representatives in telecommunications and utilities.

iQor operates call centers around the world, including the United States, Canada, India and the Philippines.

According to the article, call centers added 20,700 jobs between April 2010 and 2011, the N.C. Employment Security Commission reported.

It has been predicted that customer service jobs in call centers are expected to rise at a rapid pace, adding 400,000 jobs between 2008 and 2018, according to data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

In related news, TMCnet recently reported that Sitel another call center outsourcing provider recently added 130 new positions to its Lake City, Florida call center.
